About Us

We are all about dancing, growing, and thriving!

At Dance Dayz Studio, located at the heart of La Mesa in Grossmont Center, we’ve been helping La Mesa stay stylish on the dance floor since opening our doors in September of 2018. Our instructors have experience in teaching and performing various styles of the performing arts. We have a passion for growth through dancing and fun while helping everyone discover their inner dancer.

Trinity Jochens

Owner, Dance Dayz Studio

With a passion for dance fueling her journey, Trinity has dedicated 13 years to honing in her skills and artistry. From performances at Disneyland and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to performing on stages across San Diego, her dance journey has been a thrilling adventure. Transitioning from a dedicated dancer to a seasoned instructor, Trinity has embarked on her teaching career over 2 years ago, initially teaching 2 classes and swiftly expanding to 7+.

Beyond the dance floor, she discovered a love for the business side of the studio.  As a highschool senior, she began contributing to the administrative aspects, organizing camps, designing photo backdrops, and embracing new responsibilities. This evolution led to a pivotal moment when the founder, Nadia Gewarges, recognized her commitment and offered her the opportunity to take the reins of the studio. Ready to embrace this new chapter, she eagerly stepped into the leadership role, driven by a blend of passion for dance and a knack for business.

Dance Dayz Journey:

Dance Dayz was founded in 2017 by Nadia Gewarges, with the first of its kind performing arts business plan– a dance studio in the middle of a typical shopping mall. Seeming unusual to people at the time, this idea lead to a thriving dance studio! With a simple mission for youth dance- fitness, friendship, and fun, the studio became a positive staple in the community. However, as Nadia's family expanded, the demands of small business ownership became a challenging juggle. Fate intervened when Nadia’s family was attending a new church in the area. Expecting her second baby, Nadia needed help at the studio, and had a simple prayer request for a new teacher.

Days later, she met Trinity Jochens, a dynamic 17-year-old with a dream of owning a dance studio. Trinity's exceptional dedication and potential stood out, as Nadia saw many characteristics that lead to her own success, in Trinity. This lead to increased responsibilities and as the 2022 season concluded, Nadia presented Trinity with a pivotal question—would she be interested in taking the reins of Dance Dayz Studio? The answer was a YES, and within a few months, Dance Dayz had a new owner. Together, they meet weekly to chart the studio's course forward, building on its established foundation and create new goals for growth and experiences for the studio’s families.

Nadia is enjoying full-time motherhood and Trinity thriving in her dream of studio ownership—they will be forever friends, grateful for the connection made by design. Both are excited about this new chapter in Dance Dayz Studio vibrant journey!
